Intrusive Thoughts

App Design 2020

Overview

An iPhone application aimed at treating obsessive-compulsive behavior through exposure therapy. Patients would receive push notifications with curated "triggers" to help mitigate negative impact.

Role

I did UX design work and product roadmapping for the client which could then be used in hiring a developer to build out the application.

Initial Objectives

Client in St. Louis, MO, reached out for help taking existing low-quality, low-fidelity mockups and figuring out roadmap and budget for building a functional application.

Solution

I took the existing mockups and redid them using standard SwiftUI / UIKit elements to support easier development and better usability.

I broke down key functional requirements into epics and features and developed an iterative roadmap with key milestones and effort estimates.

Impact

Client was extremely impressed and satisfied by both design work and roadmap clarity and used generated artifacts to hire an independent developer to build the app.
